To strengthen the team in Brussels, CapitalatWork Foyer Group is currently looking for a Legal Counsel.
Beschrijving
Within the Belgian entity (which also oversees the Dutch branch) and reporting directly to the Management, the Legal Counsel will join the legal team composed of 2 lawyers.
Handling various legal matters, both related to the specific activities of CapitalatWork Belgium as a brokerage firm and to the general life of the company. The Legal Counsel will be in direct contact with various departments.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing legal advice to various departments (sales department, Compliance, Client Administration, HR, real estate projects, etc.) as well as to management;
- Establishing and updating client contractual documents (standard contracts, general terms and conditions, etc.);
- Providing legal advice when concluding contracts (outsourcing or others) with various suppliers and centralizing contracts;
- Monitoring the entity's insurance contracts;
- Tasks related to corporate housekeeping;
- Managing any disputes, in liaison with lawyers;
- Cross-functional work in collaboration with the Luxembourg legal team.
Profiel
- A Master's degree in Law;
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience within a legal team (in a law firm and/or inhouse);
- Solid knowledge in financial law/commercial law/corporate law, and experience in a financial entity, particularly in "private banking";
- Good knowledge and/or experience in privacy/GDPR matters as well as in ESG are an asset;
- Very good knowledge of Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken, is required;
- Accuracy, analytical and synthesis skills, autonomy, listening skills, good interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills, and team spirit.
