Our client

Our Client, NTT DATA, is a leading global IT service provider, active in consulting, system development, and business IT outsourcing.
Our Client is looking for a Head of Legal Benelux & France – Business and Corporate Legal to oversee and coordinate legal activities for the Benelux and French operations.

Function

As a Head of Legal Benelux & France, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Business Legal matters:

  • Drafting and reviewing various legal documents and IT service contracts.
  • Ensuring internal approvals on non-standard clauses and managing legal templates.
  • Coordinating internal departments (e.g., DPO, IPO) during contract review processes.
  • Assessing legal risks for business opportunities, especially in public and private procurement.
  • Analyzing tender documentation and advising on mitigation strategies.

Corporate Legal matters:

  • Acting as secretary to the board and governance bodies, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating supplier and intercompany contracts.
  • Ensuring alignment with corporate and regulatory frameworks.

Combined areas:

  • Providing legal advice on a wide range of issues, particularly in AI and technology law.
  • Monitoring legal trends and translating them into actionable advice.
  • Managing legal risk in corporate operations and during negotiations.
  • Supporting litigation and pre-litigation procedures in coordination with the wider NTT DATA Group.
  • Handling complex legal queries on procurement, commercial and contract law.
  • Drafting explanatory notes, identifying risks, and proposing solutions.

Leadership:

  • Coordinating with international legal counterparts to ensure consistency.
  • Collaborating with external legal advisors and business stakeholders.
  • Potentially leading and mentoring a regional legal team as the department evolves.

Profile

  • Master in Law.
  • Bar admission in Belgium, France, or a relevant Benelux jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ legal experience in an IT or multinational environment.
  • Solid experience in European law, public procurement, IP/ICT, and corporate governance.
  • Familiarity with EC Financial Regulation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of resilience, assertiveness, and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under pressure and across various levels of an international organization.
  • Fluent in English and French (Dutch and Spanish are considered assets).
