About Vialegis

Since 2003, Vialegis has been the reference, pioneer and market leader in Legal Interim Management and in the recruitment and selection of lawyers and tax specialists. Thanks to our unique approach, based on the principle of “for and by lawyers,” and a growing demand for lawyers in an economic context that is becoming increasingly more legally oriented, we have registered continuous growth year after year.

In 2017 we became part of The House of HR, an international group of specialized HR companies. This has led to enhanced specialization, enabling us to provide an even better service to our candidates and customers, whilst accelerating our European expansion.

Philippe obtained his law degree at the University of Antwerp and then attended an Executive MBA programme (Purdue University and TiasNimbas Business School) and a Master’s degree programme in Corporate Finance (Vlerick Management School). He started his career at the Bar of Antwerp, then worked for Clifford Chance in Brussels and London, and was a partner at law firm Altius for more than 10 years. In 2003 he was a founding member of Vialegis as a silent partner, and since 2010 he has been in charge of the Belgian and foreign activities of Vialegis.

Marie Brepoels

Upon obtaining her law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL), Marie spent an Erasmus year in Lille, and then embarked on her professional career at the Brussels bar. She worked for the law firm Theuwissen, Ketsman, Appelmans & Co, where she specialised in commercial law. In 2007, Marie obtained a Master’s degree in HR at the UAMS. She has been with Vialegis since October 2006 and is responsible for the Recruitment and Selection division.

Valérie graduated from the University of Ghent with a degree in law, and then decided to follow further training in corporate law. After an internship at the European Commission, she embarked on her career at the Brussels bar, where she focused mainly on trade law, corporate law and private banking law. She started working at Vialegis in June 2007, where she now heads the Legal Interim Management division.

Harold Dulait studied law at the University Faculties of Notre Dame de la Paix in Namur (Belgium), at the Louvain Catholic University (Belgium) and at the Leopold Franzen Universität d’Innsbruck (Austria). He is also the holder of a DEC (Diploma of College Education) in philosophy from the Louvain Catholic University.  From 2001 to 2008, he was a trial lawyer at the Brussels Bar, primarily working with for law firms Miller Bolle&Partners law firm and Koan.  From 2008 to 2012, Harold exercised many consulting assignments within international enterprises as an independent lawyer (legal interim manager), especially in the industrial, financial and automotive sectors. After having completed management training at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, he developed Legalia as from 2012.  Since 1 January 2019, the team of Legalia has been integrated into Vialegis.  Harold is a member of the Legal Interim Management team of Vialegis.

Laetitia studied law at the Catholic University of Leuven and LUISS in Rome, and obtained an additional degree in notary studies. As a lawyer at the Brussels bar, she worked for the law firm Theuwissen, Ketsman, Appelmans & Co, mainly mainly in contract law, focusing on commercial contracts and rental disputes. Since 2010, Laetitia has been working as a consultant at Vialegis for the recruitment and selection of legal and tax profiles.

Kathy studied law at the University of Antwerp and got to know Vialegis initially in 2009, when she worked there as a summer intern. Upon graduation, she embarked on her career as a lawyer at the Antwerp bar with law firm Corbus. In 2014 she started working as Legal Interim Manager for Benchmark Holdings (the former Inve Aquaculture), where she was soon asked to assume the position of Solo Legal Counsel on a permanent basis. She joined the Legal Interim Management division of Vialegis in February 2018.

Karolien graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL) in 2007 with a degree in law, and also spent a semester at the University of Bordeaux. She then obtained an additional Master’s degree in Social law at the (French-speaking) Free University of Brussels (ULB). She started working as a lawyer at the Leuven bar, in the labour law department of law firm Curia. In 2016 Karolien opted for a new turn in her career, in line with her interest in human resources, and she joined Vialegis as a consultant in the Recruitment and Selection division.

Sara studied law at the Facultés Universitaires Notre Dame de la Paix in Namur and at the KUL Leuven, where she also obtained a degree in notary studies. She gained more than twenty years of experience as a notarial lawyer at the notary James Dupont (now Actalys) and at the notary office Berquin and Partners in Brussels, where she advised many companies on routine and more complex deeds and transactions. After an additional training for Human Resources Manager, she joined Vialegis in 2016 where she focuses mainly on selecting and recruiting notaries, notarial lawyers and specialists in corporate law.

Caroline studied law at the Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis in Brussels and at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), and spent six months in Valencia as part of the Erasmus exchange programme. She completed her studies by obtaining a Master’s degree in notary studies. After more than eight years in the notarial profession, and on account of her interest in human relations and competency management, she opted for a change of career in 2016 and started working as a consultant at Vialegis, where she mainly focuses on Legal Interim Management – and this also for Notaries.

Els graduated from the University of Ghent in 2008 with a degree in Law, and then obtained a Masters in Tax Law at the same university, followed by an Estate Planning Certificate at Bruges Business School. She started working in 2009 as a legal advisor at the Belgian Accounting Standards Board, where she specialised in Belgian accounting and financial reporting law and IFRS standards. In line with her growing interest in talent search and connecting people, she decided to make a career change and she joined Vialegis in 2018, where she mainly focuses on recruitment and selection of tax and legal profiles.

Annick studied law at the FU Saint-Louis (bachelor), the KU Leuven (master) and the University of Salamanca (Erasmus). She worked as a lawyer for 8 years at the law firms Altius and NautaDutilh. At the end of 2005, she decided to leave the bar to become in-house legal counsel at a pharmaceutical company where she stayed for 6 years. In 2012 she started working as an independent legal consultant. She worked for several clients, mainly in the pharmaceutical sector. In April 2018 she decided to join the team of Vialegis.

Britt studied Law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel where she also obtained her degree in notary studies.  In 2015 she started working as a notarial lawyer at the notary study of Tobback, Wellekens & Rooms in Boom where she was in charge of mainly family law related cases. Britt decided end of 2018 to join Vialegis because she wants to combine her skills with her interest in Human Resources.  With her background, she focuses, as from January 2 2019, amongst others, on the recruitment of future “notarial lawyers” and notarial law related jobs.

Céline Pottier studied law at the Louvain Catholic University (Belgium).  From 2014 to 2018, she was a trainee lawyer and later joined business law firm Praetica.  Between 2016 and 2017, she completed a half-time mission as independent consultant (secondment) in the Intellectual Property team of AGC Glass Europe.  With her experience at the bar and given her wish to focus her career towards human resources, Céline decided to join Legalia in April 2018. In her role as Recruitment Consultant she was involved in Legal Interim Management as well as the recruitment of permanent positions.  Since 1 January 2019, the Legalia team is integrated into Vialegis.  Céline is a member of the Search & Selection team of Vialegis.

Caroline Voisin holds a diploma in commercial engineering and management from the Louvain Business School of Management and from the Pontificale Universidad Catolica de Chile.  From 2002 to 2003, she was Conference and Marketing Manager at the Institute for International Research of Brussels.  From 2003 to 2015 she formed part of The Little Gym Europe where she took on different roles, including head of human resources before becoming CFO.  Among her responsibilities, apart from those relating to the financial management of the company, she managed the legal affairs.  Drawn by entrepreneurship for many years and confident in her experience in an international SME, Caroline decided to join Legalia as a partner in 2015.  Since 1 January 2019, the Legalia team is integrated into Vialegis.  Caroline is a member of the team of Search & Selection team of Vialegis.

After obtaining a diploma in secretaryship and modern languages at the former Sint-Lodewijksinstituut, Karine started her career as a management assistant at Agfa Gevaert. She then worked as office manager at law firm CMS DeBacker in Antwerp. In 2010 Karine switched to the recruitment sector. She worked in turn as an assistant at Vialegis, Lexius Staffing and Odgers Berndston. In 2014 she joined the Vialegis-team again as a management assistant for the Legal Interim Management division.

Laurence studied at the Hotel School in Hoogstraten and had training in Hotel Management at the COOVI in Anderlecht. She embarked on her career in 1993 at the Holiday Inn in Zaventem, where she occupied various positions over a period of thirteen years. She then worked for two years as an administrative assistant at the Board of Education in the Municipality of Vilvoorde, before joining Valegis in April 2016, where she works as a management assistant and provides support mainly for the consultants of the Recruitment and Selection division.

After obtaining a diploma in office administration and data management at the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwinstituut, Kim started her career as a Knowledge Assistant at Deloitte. She then worked as a Claims Resolution Advisor at Whirlpool. In 2013 Kim started as a Personal Assistant at law firm contrast in Zaventem. In 2018 Kim switched to the recruitment sector. She worked briefly as a resourcer at E-Resourcing. In 2019 she joined the Vialegis-team as a Management Assistant.

Ellen graduated as Commercial Engineer at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven followed by Supplementary Tax Studies.  She started her career as a Financial Auditor at Van Geet, Derick & co and then joined EY as corporate tax manager.  As a next step in her career, she joined SBS Belgium as Internal Auditor & Financial Controller, where she was appointed CFO in October 2008.  In June 2013 she joined BuzziSpace as Group Chief Financial Officer.  During the summer of 2018 she joined Vialegis where she is responsible both for the Belgian and for the international operations.

On 31 March 2016, our beloved colleague Ester Palmaers passed away unexpectedly. Ester worked at Vialegis for more than 12 years and was a pillar of support for her colleagues and a source of inspiration for everyone who knew her. Her sincerity and cheerfulness, her professionalism and integrity were a source of energy. We will never forget her. Her death has affected us deeply, but we are grateful for the time we were able to spend with her. We send her loved ones our condolences and hope they can find the strength in the many fond memories of her, as we do.

We still miss her very much every day.

Vialegis is also present in a number of other European countries, with offices in Luxembourg, Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) and Germany (Frankfurt, Cologne, Munich and Düsseldorf).

We are moving full speed ahead on our European expansion by establishing local offices and/or by working together with reliable partners. We also handle search requests in other countries where we do not (yet) have our own office.
