The Brussels office is part of a dynamic Benelux practice, working closely with colleagues across several offices in the region and throughout an extensive international network. Lawyers within the Benelux practice are active across a broad range of key practice areas, including M&A, Financial Services, Banking & Finance, Tax, Corporate Notarial Services, Litigation, Real Estate & Planning, Employment & Pensions, and Data, Privacy & Technology. They support a diverse client base operating in sectors such as industrials, technology, media & telecommunications, energy, financial institutions and life sciences.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking to recruit a Senior Associate (6-8 years of experience) to join its Corporate Finance team in Brussels.
The Corporate/M&A team has recently undergone a significant transformation and is focused on delivering high-quality transactional work for a strong portfolio of leading domestic and international clients.
You will be involved in a broad range of corporate transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganisations and restructurings, often across multiple jurisdictions. The role offers genuine autonomy, high levels of responsibility, and direct client contact from day one. You will engage with top-tier, multinational clients and regularly collaborate with lawyers across Eversheds Sutherland’s international network. We are looking for a dynamic, technically strong and commercially minded lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment:
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in corporate transactional work at a leading international or Benelux law firm.
• LL.M. at a US or UK university.
• Fluency in English, and either Dutch or French, with working knowledge of the other language.
• Strong drafting skills and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage transactions autonomously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative attitude and eagerness to contribute to a newly restructured, ambitious and growing team.
